Terms of Service — QanTech Platform

Last updated: October 27, 2026

I. The agreement

These Terms govern the QanTech Platform at app.qantech.ai and form an agreement between QanTech ("we") and the lawyer or law firm that subscribes to it (the "Customer"). The Privacy Policy, the Data Processing Agreement and the Cookie Policy form part of these Terms. Each user accepts these Terms by creating an account, or by accepting an invitation and signing in. Where the Customer and QanTech have signed a separate written agreement, it prevails over these Terms for the matters it covers.

Invoices and charges under these Terms are issued by BARQ LTD (company no. 15777868, United Kingdom) as billing agent on QanTech's behalf.

II. The service

The Platform provides a legal Assistant grounded in Jordanian legislation, a document Analyzer, a Case Manager, a shared case workspace and a task board. We may improve or change features. We will give the Customer notice before any change that materially reduces the service.

III. Accounts

The Customer opens an account by signing up on the Platform and confirming its email address. The person who signs up becomes the team admin: they manage the subscription and, on the Team plan, invite members by email. Each invitation is personal and expires after 7 days.

The Customer is responsible for its users and their activity, for keeping credentials confidential, and for telling us promptly of any suspected unauthorised access. Each account is for one named person. We may suspend an account to protect security or where these Terms are breached.

IV. Plans and fees

The Solo plan costs US$30 per month for one user. The Team plan costs US$25 per seat per month, with a minimum of two seats. Prices are in US dollars and include all applicable taxes.

On the Team plan, the number of seats is the number of active members plus pending invitations. Adding or removing a seat, or moving from the Solo plan to the Team plan, changes the charge from that moment, prorated for the rest of the billing period; the prorated amount is added to, or deducted from, the next invoice. A deduction is never paid out.

Fees are paid monthly in advance by card through our payment processor, Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's own pages; QanTech never receives or stores them.

V. Automatic renewal and cancellation

The subscription renews automatically at the end of each monthly billing period, and the card on file is charged for the next period, until the subscription is cancelled.

The team admin may cancel at any time from the Billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: full access continues until then, and no further charge is made.

If a renewal payment fails, full access continues for 7 days while the payment is retried. If it remains unpaid after that, or once a cancelled subscription has ended, the account becomes read-only: users can view and download their data, but cannot create or edit content or use the AI features. The data is not deleted, and subscribing again restores full access.

VI. No refunds

All payments are final. Except where required by applicable law, no refund of any kind is given, in whole or in part, including for cancellation, for the unused part of a billing period, for unused seats or AI allowance, for removed members, for a period of read-only access, or for any period in which the Platform was not used. The only adjustments are the prorated seat and plan changes described in Section IV, which are settled on the next invoice and never paid out.

VII. AI usage allowance

Each subscription includes a monthly AI usage allowance, measured by the cost of the AI processing behind the Assistant, the Analyzer and case briefs, including searches of official online sources. On the Team plan the allowance is shared by the whole team and grows with the number of seats. The allowance and the amount used so far are shown on the Billing page.

When the month's allowance has been used, the AI features pause until it renews at the start of the next calendar month (UTC); the rest of the Platform keeps working. The allowance cannot be topped up within the month, and an unused allowance does not carry over and is not refunded or credited. Per-user fair-use limits, such as a number of requests per hour, also apply.

VIII. Acceptable use

The Customer and its users must not:

  • use the Platform for any unlawful purpose;
  • attempt to access another firm's data or another user's private cases;
  • copy, scrape or extract the law corpus or the Platform's outputs in bulk;
  • reverse engineer the Platform or attempt to bypass rate limits or security controls;
  • upload malicious code, or content they have no right to upload;
  • resell or provide access to the Platform to third parties.

IX. Customer data

The Customer owns its data: documents, case content, questions, and the AI outputs generated for it. We use Customer data only to provide the service, as set out in the Data Processing Agreement. We do not use it to train AI models. The Customer is responsible for having a lawful basis to upload its clients' data and for its own professional secrecy obligations.

X. AI outputs and professional responsibility

AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete. The Assistant answers from a curated corpus of Jordanian legislation that may not include every law, regulation, amendment or court decision, and may not reflect the latest amendments. AI output is not legal advice. Users must verify it against official sources and apply their own professional judgment before relying on it. QanTech is not a law firm and does not provide legal services.

XI. The law corpus

The corpus is compiled from Jordan's official legislation portal. We take care to keep it accurate, but we do not guarantee that it is complete or current. The Official Gazette remains the authoritative source.

XII. Our intellectual property

The Platform, its software, design, prompts and the structure of the corpus belong to QanTech. The Customer receives a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Platform for its internal legal work during the subscription.

XIII. Confidentiality

Each party will keep the other's non-public information confidential and use it only for the purposes of this agreement.

QanTech does not share, sell or disclose any information about the Customer or its lawyers, including their names, the firm's name, or the fact that they use the Platform. QanTech does not display their logos or name them in any case study, testimonial or other reference without the Customer's prior written consent.

The same applies to all Customer data, including case content, documents, messages, notes, and AI inputs and outputs.

The only exceptions are service providers that process information on QanTech's behalf under obligations of confidentiality, as described in the Privacy Policy, and disclosures required by Jordanian law or by court order.

XIV. Availability

We use reasonable efforts to keep the Platform available and will give notice of planned maintenance where practicable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability unless agreed in writing.

XV. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Platform is provided as is. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit. QanTech's total liability under these Terms is limited to the fees the Customer paid in the twelve months before the claim. These limits do not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

XVI. Term and termination

The subscription runs from month to month until it is cancelled (Section V). QanTech may end it with at least 30 days' notice, effective at the end of a billing period, or immediately if the Customer materially breaches these Terms and does not remedy the breach within 15 days of notice.

When a subscription ends, the account remains available in read-only mode and its data is kept. The Customer may ask us at any time to export or delete its data by writing to privacy@qantech.ai.

XVII. Changes to these Terms

We will notify the Customer by email at least 30 days before a material change takes effect. A change to the prices applies from the first billing period that starts after that date. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance; the Customer may instead cancel before it.

XVIII. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The courts of Amman have jurisdiction over any dispute.

XIX. Language

These Terms are issued in Arabic and English. In case of conflict, the Arabic version prevails.
